tree day.

A greener world.
A life well lived.

AN EARLIER CHAPTER

The earlier Tree Day

Schoolchildren, trees and a shared idea: caring for the environment can bring people together.

A day that followed the sun

The earlier enotreeday.net supported ENO Tree Planting Day, an environmental education activity connecting schools and communities internationally. Surviving references link this domain to invitations, registration and information about planting trees for peace and biodiversity.

ENO’s own history says its first tree-planting day took place on 21 September 2004, involving 50 schools in 30 countries. The September date connected tree planting with the International Day of Peace. A second annual planting period developed around 22 May, the International Day for Biological Diversity.

More than a planting photograph

A surviving 2010 invitation from ENO Brasil directed schools to register at enotreeday.net. It described tree planting as environmental learning and international cooperation, with the trees’ development to be followed and experiences shared. Those are historical descriptions, not present registration instructions.

The programme continues elsewhere

The current ENO Schoolnet Association website documents the programme’s history and present campaigns. Use its official pages for participation details. This new Tree Day publication is independently operated and is not affiliated with ENO Schoolnet.
